Demon Slayer season 2’s English dubbing release has been confirmed for the Entertainment District arc

The Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer season 2 has concluded, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the English dubbing release. The debate between subbed versus dubbed anime is one that continues to rage on social media, but for those who prefer to watch their favorite shows in English, the release date and time for the new arc will be a welcome announcement.

Demon Slayer season 2 was split into two story arcs, the Mugen Train Arc and the Entertainment District Arc. The Mugen Train Arc aired from October 10th to November 28th, 2021, while the Entertainment District Arc began on December 5th and concluded on February 13th, 2022.

The English dubbing for the Mugen Train Arc was released on Funimation and Crunchyroll on January 21st, 2022, seven weeks after the subtitled version had concluded. Interestingly, the decision to release the dubbed episodes as a batch rather than airing them weekly, which is the traditional format for English anime dubbings, was widely praised by fans.

On an Anime News Network forum discussing the dubbing release, one fan expressed their appreciation for the batch release format, stating that it improved accessibility for the wider community. They believed that there was no reason to release the Mugen Train episodes weekly, and that dub watchers could move on to the Entertainment District arc more quickly. They also noted that the Mugen Train episodes likely did not require as much time to work on since assets from the movie were reused.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of the English dubbing for the Entertainment District Arc, they can take comfort in the fact that they will soon be able to enjoy the series in their preferred language.
