Netflix India has recently announced that they will add the ninth season of Bleach anime to their streaming platform on May 1, 2023. The popular anime series, which originally ran for 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012, is already available on Netflix with the latest episode being 151.
Aside from Netflix, the anime is also being streamed by Ani-One Asia’s YouTube channel and bilibili. Fans of the franchise can also watch Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, the anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s manga, which is currently available on Netflix India for Ultra subscribers. The show is based on the “Thousand Year Blood War” arc of the manga and has gained significant attention from the audience.
Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach manga, began his manga journey by launching the Bleach manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, which ended in August 2016. The manga was published digitally in English by Viz Media, and Shueisha published new chapters in Japan. Viz Media also released the manga in print, and it has sold over 130 million copies worldwide.
The Bleach anime franchise has also spawned four films and two original video animations (OVAs). Moreover, the franchise has inspired video games, novels, and stage plays, which showcase the wide reach and popularity of the series. A live-action Bleach film was released in July 2018, and it was well received by fans of the franchise.
