Demon Slayer Season 3 introduces Muzan’s top demon

The highly anticipated season 3 of the hit anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, has finally premiered, and fans couldn’t be more excited. As part of the jam-packed spring 2023 anime schedule, the first episode of the new season takes on the Swordsmith Village arc from Koyoharu Gotoge’s popular manga series.

The season 2 finale saw Tanjiro Kamado and his companions manage to defeat one of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Upper Rank members, signaling the start of the demons’ full-scale assault on the Demon Slayer Corps. Now, with the new season in full swing, fans can look forward to seeing the rest of the Upper Ranks in action, including the most powerful demon under Muzan’s control, Kokushibo.

Demon Slayer season 3, which premiered with the Swordsmith Village arc’s first episode, sees the remaining members of Muzan’s Upper Ranks gathered at the Infinity Castle. Muzan has summoned them to update them on the recent defeat of Gyutaro, the Upper Rank Four demon, and to remind them of the seriousness of their mission.

While some of the lower-ranked demons bicker amongst themselves, Kokushibo, the Upper One, remains stoic and quiet. Fans are intrigued by this character, who has a frightening yet familiar appearance that hints at a connection to Tanjiro’s family’s past.

As the season progresses, fans are eager to see more of Kokushibo and the other Upper Ranks in action and how the Demon Slayer Corps will combat them.
