The third season of “Demon Slayer” has taken off with a bang, kicking off with the highly-anticipated “Swordsmith Village” arc. The storyline picks up where season 2 left off, with the Demon Slayer Corps continuing their battle against Muzan Kibutsuji and his army of demons.
In episode 3 of the new season, titled “A Sword From Over 300 Years Ago”, protagonist Tanjiro discovered a sword from the past, which was then taken by Hotaru Haganezuka, the young demon slayer’s swordsmith. The episode had a lot of comedic moments, with Tanjiro doing his best to befriend Genya Shinazugawa. However, things took a serious turn when two of the Upper-Rank demons arrived in the village and began an attack. Gyokko appeared with Hantengu, who split into multiple demons with differing powers, putting Tanjiro and his friends at a great disadvantage.
Fans can expect the action to ramp up even further in episode 4, titled “Thank you Tokito”, which will follow the latest confrontation of the anime’s newest threat in the Swordsmith Village arc. Given how the third episode ended, fans can expect to see an action-packed fight in the fourth episode.
In terms of release times, the fourth episode of “Demon Slayer” season 3 will be available on Crunchyroll on Sunday, April 30. In Japan, the episode will release at 11:15pm Japan standard time, which means it will be available to fans in North America at 7:15am Pacific time (PDT) or 10:15am Eastern time (EDT). The British Summer Time release will be 3:15pm (UTC+1).
The episode will likely see Tanjiro, Genya, and Nezuko continuing their fight against Hantengu’s newest forms, while Muichiro Tokito enters into a fight with a giant fish, which may put him into the path of the tough opponent, Gyokko. The fight between Tanjiro’s group and the Upper-Rank demons will likely be intense and full of destruction and action, which will put them all to the test.
As the opening theme suggests, it won’t be long before Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, enters the fray. Tanjiro has been looking for a break as he gains new weaponry, but he won’t be getting it anytime soon. However, he may leave this fight with some new friends. Despite Genya not being open to Tanjiro’s attempts at friendship, his weaponry is unique for the story and time period, which could lead to some intriguing combat sequences for fans. Additionally, given Tanjiro’s attempts to forge friendships and connections with Genya and Tokito, the next episode could show development toward those goals for both. Nothing seems to bring warriors together quite like fighting side-by-side against murderous foes.
All in all, “Demon Slayer” season 3 promises to be a thrilling ride for fans, with intense battles and exciting developments to keep them on the edge of their seats. The new season has already lived up to expectations, and with episode 4 on the horizon, it’s clear that the creators are determined to keep the momentum going. Fans won’t want to miss a single moment of the action-packed, emotional journey of Tanjiro and his allies.
