Assassination Classroom and Classroom of The Elite will be on Muse Asia

Muse Asia, a popular anime streaming platform, has recently announced that it will provide daily uploads of two highly acclaimed anime series, Assassination Classroom and Classroom of the Elite, on its YouTube channel for South and Southeast Asian audiences. The release of Assassination Classroom will start on June 30 at 9:00 PM (GMT+8), while Classroom of the Elite is scheduled for the 8:00 PM (GMT+8) slot on the same day.

Assassination Classroom is an anime series that first aired in January 2015, with its second season premiering a year later in January 2016. The anime was directed by Seiji Kishi, with Makoto Uezu serving as the series composer, Kazuaki Morita as character designer, Keiko Kurosawa and Kōji Yamagata as chief animation directors, and Naoki Satō as music composer. The series features a star-studded voice cast, including Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei, Mai Fuchigami as Nagisa Shiota, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Karma Akabane, and Aya Suzaki as Kaede Kayano.

The anime’s story revolves around a mysterious creature with immense power that appears suddenly and declares that he will destroy the Earth by March of next year. The creature then decides to teach Class 3-E, where misfit students end up, at Kunugigaoka Junior High School in Japan. Despite possessing incredible powers that the army can’t overcome, the leaders around the world have no choice but to leave it up to Class E to defeat the creature. The students’ assignment is to assassinate the mysterious creature called Koro-sensei and save the world from complete destruction. They have to do it before they graduate from the school.

Assassination Classroom has gained a massive following since its debut, inspiring a sequel film titled Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: 365-Nichi no Jikan (Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days’ Time), which screened in November 2016. The original manga by Yusei Matsui also inspired two live-action adaptations. Additionally, a spin-off manga titled “Koro-sensei Q! (Koro Teacher Quest!)” also inspired an anime short and a net anime.

Classroom of the Elite, on the other hand, is a psychological thriller anime series that follows the students of Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, who are trained to become Japan’s future leaders. The series is set in a futuristic world where the Japanese government has established the Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School system to nurture the country’s brightest students. The students of Class D, however, are considered inferior and are treated as second-class citizens. The anime follows the story of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, a student of Class D, as he navigates the school’s cutthroat environment and tries to climb the ranks to become one of Japan’s future leaders.
