Viz licenses Demon Slayer light novels, set to release in Fall 2022

Viz Media has announced that it will be licensing three Demon Slayer light novels for release in Fall 2022. Fans of the original series will be able to enjoy The Flower of Happiness, One-Winged Butterfly, and Signs From the Wind, all of which were originally published in Jump J Books. Aya Yajima wrote all three novels, and each one featured illustrations by Koyoharu Gotouge.

The Flower of Happiness, which was published in 2019, consists of 5 chapters, each with a different story and taking place during a different time period. One-Winged Butterfly, the second light novel from the Demon Slayer universe, has 6 chapters and also focuses on Shinobu, as well as other characters like Tengen Uzui, Genya, and Giyu, along with Tanjiro and Zenitsu. The Japanese title for the work is Katahane no Chou. Meanwhile, Signs From the Wind features 5 chapters that mainly focus on the Wind Hashira – Sanemi Shinazugawa. Aya Yajima wrote the light novel, which was first published in 2020.

In addition to the Demon Slayer light novels, Viz Media will also be releasing the Shonen Jump Guide to Making Manga this fall. The guide features commentary from popular manga artists like Eiichiro Oda, Tite Kubo, and Kohei Horikoshi, offering aspiring manga creators a valuable resource for honing their craft.
