The sixth season of the My Hero Academia anime premiered on October 1st and is currently adapting the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of the original manga. The season will air for two continuous cours, totaling 25 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan, and an English dub is also available. Toonami is airing the anime for those who prefer to watch it on television.
Recently, the official website for the anime confirmed that Atsumi Tanezaki will be voicing the character of Lady Nagant in the second cours of the sixth season. Lady Nagant is a former top-class hero who was imprisoned in Tartarus before escaping. Tanezaki has previously lent her voice to other popular anime characters such as Chise Hatori from The Ancient Magus’ Bride and Lisa Mishima from Terror in Resonance.
The new opening theme song for the anime, titled “Bokura no” (Our), is performed by the artist Eve, while the new ending theme song, “Kita Kaze” (North Wind), is performed by the three-member rock band SIX LOUNGE. The previous opening theme song, “Hitamuki,” was performed by SUPER BEAVER, and the previous ending theme song, “SKETCH,” was performed by Kiro Akiyama.
My Hero Academia is a popular manga and anime series created by Kōhei Horikoshi. The manga series premiered in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014, and it has been published in English by Viz Media both digitally and in print in North America. The anime adaptation premiered in April 2016 and has continued to gain popularity ever since.
